About the role
A professional engineer within TRD GMP M&CS who is responsible for the execution and implementation of equipment in vaccines projects, maintenance and automation projects in accordance with agreed deliverables (Quality, EHS, Finance, and Schedule). This person contributes to the liaison engineering functions (process and projects) outside of R&D who provides support to TRD GMP.

About the responsibilities

• Define and drive execution of projects within TRD GMP, providing matrix leadership to project team members, developing the contract strategy for projects, selecting and managing contractors and settling any claims in accordance with company policy
• Assure proper functioning of automated equipment in WN31 in collaboration with Belgian Site Engineering
• Serve as the TRD GMP M&CS automation/CSV User representative on projects by giving adequate support for all parts and phases of computer system validation lifecycle
• Define the overall commissioning, validation, and handover strategy with respect to equipment (for mechanical and automation scope) in TRD GMP, ensures complete handover following project phase
• Contribute decisions pertaining to technical matters, in close cooperation with relevant SMEs and Users
• Support and execute deviation, CAPA and change controls related to project work and, specifically, CSV and Automation
• Identify and deliver opportunities to improve internal process and system related to Technical Services, Project Management, and/or Automations/CSV
• Support the Automation/CSV TRD GMP M&CS SME in internal and external audits
• Respect and enforce EHS standards and policies

About you

• Engineering degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Automation or other relevant qualification for vaccines activities as chemistry biochemistry and extensive expertise in automation and CSV domains (2-5 years)
• Deep and specific technical knowledge of control, monitoring and data system
• Work in compliance with GMP standards and procedures
• Capability to communicate and work at the floor and management level
• Field approach highly developed (will actively work with operators / technicians and managers in production / technical services)
• Clear communication skills that are effective across multiple layers of the organization; ability to use appropriate communication channels
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload for him/herself
• Sense of urgency, ability to be flexibly and to take accountability
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Respect of GSK safety rules
• Fluent in English and French (written and spoken)
