Social Mobility Network at DCMS

The Social Mobility Network supports and advocates for staff from lower socio-economic and working class backgrounds and raises awareness of issues faced within the Department.

The network is built upon three strategic pillars:

1. Getting in: working to ensure that people understand what DCMS offers through outreach, and making routes into DCMS accessible, including through increased apprenticeships
2. Getting on: supporting staff through skills building, networking opportunities and by raising awareness of social mobility across the department and through our stakeholders
3. Getting up: supporting staff who may want to move into more senior roles, ensuring that people from lower socio-economic backgrounds are represented at all grades.
