Parents & Carers Network at Wates Group

The Parents and Carers Network at Wates is for colleagues with parenting and/or caring responsibilities.

Ethos:

• Be a source of support and a way to connect with other parents, to be reassured that one is not alone in the struggle of managing family and work commitments, and also learn from tips and tricks that others have.
• Raise awareness of flexible working – among the network members, by sharing different work patterns and how a colleague is making it work for themselves – but also for the larger organisation. Supporting Wates in its aim to be a flexible employer.
• Support career progression of those working what is historically called ‘part-time’ and improve perception around a ‘part-time’ worker.
