We know we’re not perfect, and true inclusion and belonging is a journey. As part of our commitment to create inclusion and equity for all, here are a few of the things we’ve done this year to promote diversity, inclusion and belonging at Gumtree and Motors this year.

• Create fairer hiring processes by removing bias from job applications with blind CV punctuality and recruitment training.
• Delivered training on Unconscious Bias, Culture And Identiy Awareness, Psychological Safety & Inclusive Leadership.
• Celebrated our diversity through our company-wide Inclusion Calendar with events, speakers, resources and activities throughout the year - with over 30 activations in 2023 so far.
• Launched Community Groups (ERGs) with investment for each group. Find out more about our Communities in the Inclusive Features section.
• Introduced a People Ambassador Programme to have more representative voices involved in decision making.
• Launched a Mentoring Programme to accelerate the development and growth of diverse talent.
• Sponsorship of 8 women to attend an external coaching programme to elevate women’s voices.
• Partnered with 7 charitable organisations to drive inclusion and belonging within wider communities.
• Completed an accessibility audit to review the accessibility of our workplace, practices and policies.
• Introduced a Belonging Survey to understand how we can improve diversity, equity and belonging within our organisation.
• Introduced an Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) report, committing to fair practices not just internally, but with the external partners we choose to work with too.

Each year, we review our Inclusion Strategy using the findings from our Belonging Survey and the voices in our Community Groups, to continue make investments and commitments that will support our people to be their best selves.
