Flexible Working at Gumtree & Motors

The debate around Flexible Working has hit the headlines again this week as soaring childcare costs make it financially impossible for some to work. At Gumtree we empower our leaders to make the decisions that are right for their team when it comes to where and when to work. Flexible working is the default with a day or two each week spent at our office in south west London.

Some teams chose to spend more time physically together, others opt for less, and we also have colleagues who work entirely #remotely.

Our flexible approach to work has enabled us to hire great talent and helped with retention. Inclusivity is an essential part of our thinking and we run regular events and long-term programmes to ensure our people feel connected, have access to development opportunities and have regular touch points with senior leaders.

For us, flexibility works. Not just for the parents potentially struggling with childcare costs, but for our whole Gumtree team.
