Disability Support at Pinsent Masons

In line with our commitment to the Valuable 500 and our strategic commitment to improve our inclusion profile across all offices and all levels, we are proud to have made some good progress to date to be disability inclusive, including our recognition as a Disability Confident Employer by the Department for Work & Pensions.

As part of our commitment to a diverse recruitment process, we are keen to reach a wider talent pool and to dispel any myths or preconceptions which may prevent people with a disability from applying to work in a professional services firm. We work with organisations such as Business Disability Forum and Workfit to review our policies and procedures, ensuring our processes are supportive of those with a disability.

As the focus on disability inclusion increases and initiatives such as the Valuable 500 gain momentum, we are keen to ensure Pinsent Masons remains accessible to diverse talent and that colleagues with a disability are on a level playing field and have the opportunity to achieve their potential. We are currently conducting a piece of work to review our policies and procedures end to end to specifically address the opportunities and challenges for those with a disability. Our focus will continue to be on encouraging more open dialogue on mental health and wellbeing, physical disabilities and neurodiversity.

Our Disability & Wellbeing Group looks at all aspects of physical and mental health and wellbeing, aiming to raise awareness and provide peer-to-peer support, as a result, we have formed multiple support sub-groups including Fan Clubs which provide a safe, open, and comfortable space for colleagues to discuss the menopause, Fertility Support Groups, the Neurodiversity Network and Cancer Support.
