Five months ago, we launched our partnership with onHand • the impact app, and we’re so proud of our team up and down the country who’ve helped us hit some massive milestones.
Everyone has been all (on)Hands on deck, doing more good and helping to save our planet, one mission at a time.
All thanks to onHand, we’ve been able to:
💨 Contribute towards over 40 tons of CO2e being reduced
🌲 Accumulated over 15100 trees to be planted
💚 All by doing over 1000 good deeds

Salute the NHS, a not for profit and private sector led campaign serving the NHS frontline during the covid-19 crisis, fulfilled its promise to serve 1 million meal packs to critical medical teams.
With the first delivery to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford on 6th April, Salute the NHS’s mission has been met with the one-millionth meal being delivered to an NHS frontline worked on Monday 6th July.
The campaign delivered 7,205,61 products all around the UK, covering 215,000 miles and reaching more than 50 hospitals. None of which could of happened without over 800 dedicated volunteers in Bicester, Oxfordshire where the boxes were being assembled.
Food and ingredients were supplied by Tesco and several other leading brands, and their preparation into nutritious meal packs was overseen by hospitality and catering business Absolute Taste. The deliveries were all provided by Yodel, while D&G staffed an information service for NHS workers, hospitals, companies, and the public to either contribute or offer feedback on the effort.

First repair ethos at Domestic & General
In January this year we transformed our Wimbledon head office into a modern working environment that supports hybrid working. 2,250 items of office furniture needed to be cleared, so as part of D&G's repair first ethos, we were able to give a second life to desks, chairs and tables by donating them instead. Rather than going to landfill, they were donated to charities and underprivileged schools in the UK, Romania and Cameroon, which will help to enhance education for those in extra need of support.
